On Thursday, we went to the famous Recoleta cemetery. We walked there from our apartment and stopped to rest under the biggest tree I've ever seen. It was planted in 1800! Of course, with big trees, come big birds. With really good aim. Aunt Celia and Uncle Dick, thanks for the recommendation on La Biela cafe - they have great bathrooms! Afterwards, we went into the cemetery and made the requisite stop at Eva Peron's grave (to find it just follow all the tourists!) Finally, we walked down Av. Santa Fe to El Ateneo bookstore. It’s a converted theater and the biggest bookstore in South America.
